LogofolioLogo design and visual identity

A selection of the logos I've designed for brands in chocolate, architecture, tourism, furniture and sport. They all started the same way: with a pencil, a notebook and lots of questions about the business.

Brands

Nine brands, nine stories.

Hover over each logo to see the brand. The ones with a case study take you to the full project: concept, system and applications.

The sketchbook

I always start on paper.

Not because it's romantic, but because paper doesn't judge, has no layers and has no undo: it forces you to think before you draw.

Every brand in this logofolio first went through dozens of sketches nobody will ever see. Explorations that didn't work, proportions that failed, ideas that seemed good until I saw them printed. That process of elimination is where real design happens.

A logo isn't a pretty shape. It's the most compressed form possible of what a company wants to say about itself.

Sketches

From pencil to vector.

This is what brands look like before they become brands: lines, corrections and constructions that decide every curve of the final logo design.

Logo concepts

How a brand is built.

In each case study I show the logo concept: the map of ideas that connects the business, its references and the geometry until we reach the symbol.

Process

Four steps to an identity that lasts.

  1. 01

    Understand

A conversation and an audit of your brand: what you do, who it's for and what sets you apart.

  2. 02

    Sketch

References, a map of ideas and dozens of hand sketches until the idea is found.

  3. 03

    Build

The symbol is redrawn as a vector on a grid, with its versions and proportions.

  4. 04

    Systematise

Colour, typography and applications, gathered in guidelines so the brand is used with good judgement.

FAQ

What people usually ask me about logo design.

What does a logo design include?

The symbol and the logo in all their versions (primary, secondary, monogram, positive and negative), the files in vector, PNG and SVG, and a basic usage guide. If you need it, I extend it into a complete identity with brand guidelines.

How long does a logo design take?

Between 3 and 5 weeks for a complete identity. It always includes research, hand sketches, construction on a grid and rounds of revisions.

Do you use artificial intelligence to design logos?

I use it to research and explore references, never to draw the logo. Every symbol is sketched by hand and built as a vector; that's why every brand is unique and can be registered as a trademark.

Can I register my logo as a trademark?

Yes. As an original design drawn from scratch, you can register it as a trademark. I hand over the files and the usage rights when the project is finished.

Is the next brand yours? We start with a free audit.

Tell me about your project and I'll propose how to build its identity, from the very first sketch.
