Studio Tablas online shop on a laptop on a wooden sideboard: functional design, furniture that lasts

Studio Tablas Branding, WooCommerce shop and SEO for a solid wood furniture workshop in Granada

Studio Tablas: handcrafted solid wood furniture from Granada. Mario and his team have spent years perfecting their craft: certified solid wood, hand-applied finishes, pieces designed to last for decades. They design and make everything in their Granada workshop for clients all over Europe. The product was solid. The brand wasn't yet. You can see the result at studiotablas.com.

01The beginning — a call from Instagram

I was finishing my degree. I already had clients.

Studio Tablas got in touch with me from Granada — they'd seen my branding and visual identity work on social media. They wanted to refresh their brand and make the leap into e-commerce with WooCommerce. I had just finished my graphic design degree in 2022 and had spent months publishing identity, packaging and brand system projects. It was exactly the kind of project I was looking for.

02Brand first — no identity, no shop

A study of values, archetype and sector before designing anything.

The first step was to understand the project from the inside. We worked on the brand values, the communication strategy and the archetype — to know exactly what Studio Tablas wanted to convey, and to whom.

Studio Tablas isn't a generic joinery or a mass-market furniture store. It's a workshop with a point of view of its own, designing and making with real wood. The brand had to say that without saying it.

Studio Tablas logo concept: sketch with the plank, the wooden mould, the graphic pattern, the symbol proposals and the tables
  • PlankThe workshop's raw material, the starting point of the symbol.
  • Wooden mouldThe pieces that are cut, assembled and repeated.
  • Graphic patternThe wood grain, enlarged, becomes a resource of the brand's own.
  • TableThe final product, drawn in line, as in the workshop plans.

03The logo — three lines that tell who they are

The symbol is a rectangular shape with three organic lines inside it — the grain of the wood. One of its edges is rounded, a direct reference to the signature finish of their first collections. Simple. Precise. Recognisable.

We went through several rounds of sketches. Each piece of feedback refined the line — typography, symbol, colour palette. Once the identity was signed off, we added business cards and office items. The brand, complete.

06A WooCommerce shop with a real-time price configurator

The element that turns interest into an enquiry.

A handmade, made-to-measure piece of furniture has dimensions, finishes and variants. Customers want to know what their exact configuration costs before getting in touch. I built the system on WordPress and WooCommerce with a price configurator that calculates the cost in real time based on the chosen options.

For a product with hundreds of possible combinations, the configurator isn't an extra — it's the shop's main selling point. Every dimension, every finish, every variant: a price updated instantly.

07Web architecture planned from the start

Two ways into the product. One destination.

The Studio Tablas website follows a clear logic that guides visitors without pushing them:

  • 01ShopProducts with spec sheets, a configurator and real-time pricing.
  • 02CollectionsThe same products, with editorial photography and an inspirational angle.
  • 03ProjectsReal success stories and custom furniture commissions.
  • 04ServicesCustom furniture design, joinery projects for interior design, lacquering and varnish finishing, CNC machining and numerical control.
  • 05BlogSEO content and workshop news.
  • 06ContactFor orders, quotes and projects.

Shop and Collections are two different paths to the same product: one functional, the other emotional. Both convert.

08The online shop, screen by screen

A furniture shop you browse like a catalogue.

A home page with the pieces full screen, eight collections with editorial photography, product pages with the size and finish configurator, custom projects for hospitality and interior design, and a contact page built for commissions. It all works just as well on desktop, tablet and mobile, which is where most visits come from.

09Five languages for a workshop with European ambitions

Multilingual SEO with hreflang and TranslatePress.

Studio Tablas's typical customer is in Germany, Belgium or France. I set up the website in five languages — Spanish, English, French, German and Italian — with correct hreflang on every URL, page and product. Google identifies the user's language and serves the right version, with no forced redirects.

10SEO — the current phase

Visibility on Google and in language models.

The website is built and the product is clear. Now we're working on visibility. Technical SEO, a blog aimed at specific searches and concrete prompts, presence in the language models that answer buyers' questions, and video content for social media. Each piece strengthens the others.

11Generative AI — hyper-realistic settings for 3D-rendered furniture

Studio Tablas designs its furniture in 3D, but an isolated piece on a white background doesn't sell — customers need to see it in a real space. I developed and trained a generative AI agent specialised in creating hyper-realistic, consistent settings for each product: living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms with light, texture and composition that respect the character of each piece.

The result: the 3D catalogue stops being a floating object and becomes a complete scene, without photographing every combination in a real studio. This work is part of the generative AI service I offer — AI-assisted design applied to a real use case, not a generic promise.

12Services used on this project

Start working with me.

Studio Tablas is the result of three disciplines working at the same time. The identity and brand system came from the graphic design and branding process. The shop, the configurator and the SEO came from web and WooCommerce development built from the architecture up — not from a template. And the hyper-realistic settings for the 3D catalogue came from a generative AI agent trained specifically for the product.

It's not visibility for the sake of it. It's building authority for a workshop that already has a product, already has a physical workshop in Granada and already has clients in Europe. What's needed now is for Google — and AI tools — to know who they are.

The workshop is in Granada. The market is Europe.

14Who this kind of project is for

Workshops and brands that make things and want to sell beyond their city.

The Studio Tablas method works for joiners and cabinetmakers, furniture makers, homeware shops and makers with their own products: businesses with a craft that deserves a brand to match and an online shop that sells abroad. If your website doesn't show what you do properly, I start with a free audit. If you need a brand and a shop, here's how I work on branding and web design.

15FAQ

What workshops and furniture brands usually ask me.

How long does it take to build an online shop like Studio Tablas's?

It depends on the catalogue and the languages. A shop with a configurator, collections and several languages is built in phases: first the brand and the structure, then the design and the shop, and finally the translations and the SEO.

Can you sell made-to-measure furniture in an online shop?

Yes. At Studio Tablas, the configurator calculates the price of each piece in real time based on the chosen size and finish, so customers know what their table costs before asking for a quote.

Can the shop be multilingual?

Yes. studiotablas.com is in Spanish, English, French, German and Italian, with hreflang on every page and product so Google shows each visitor their own language.

Will I be able to add products and collections myself?

The shop is built with WordPress and WooCommerce: you can add products, collections, photos and prices without touching code.

Do you also do the brand, not just the website?

Yes. At Studio Tablas I did the identity first (symbol, stationery and catalogue) and then the shop, so everything spoke the same language. I can also take care of just the website if you already have a brand.
